- novaseeker/Nathan: I like this post by plonkee on that and wondered whether to include it. Novaseeker, you’re opting for what plonkee calls the Francais option.
- The link provided for 2 explains another reason why to choose US or even French style as an option: “no solo credit – if the hubby gets sued, the family doesn’t eat”. Simply an eggs in basket principle; you never know what could happen to either one of you.

- 8. Watch as all your financial plans are for naught as the devalued dollar brings $300.00 a barrel oil and you can only afford to ride a bike to work.

- 8. … and realise that even though you lost your car, you still have each other. Try to find joy or least support in each other. You’re in this together; don’t take it out on mutual victims and don’t make a hard situation harder.
- P.S. Brits love cycling. The mayor of London cycles to work; acquaintances have seen him at it.

- The key is to earn a 100,000 and spend 10,000 to really make that impact fast but saving 2k per month just as good.
- Why not front load the savings?
- Why does it always have to be either or?
- Like its better to save one penny on ten dollars than overspending on a hundred grand.
- It is probably good to blow large sums of money at some point so that you understand that just because you have a mil cash doesn’t meen it is not spendable. Plus you get to understand how much you really need to live a certain lifestyle and what type of realistic income you need to shoot for if you want that lifestyle. Like I know I need around 650k a year to travel around the world staying in hotels and doing whatever I want while getting treated like a celebrity.
